Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is the only lodge built inside Lake Manyara National Park, at the park's far southern end more than two hours' drive from the main gate — well beyond the day-visitor traffic that concentrates at the northern entrance. Its ten suites are timber structures raised on stilts among mahogany trees, each with an en-suite bathroom, outdoor shower and private deck. Activities are day and night game drives, bush walks, birdwatching in a park with over 400 recorded species, cycling, village visits and picnics; there is a pool and spa. The park is known for tree-climbing lions and large baboon troops, and for flamingo numbers on the lake when water levels suit.

A reseller's range tells you the bracket, not the price you would pay. We show it because it is the only public figure that exists, and we label it rather than present it as the property's own.
About the photographs
The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Lake Manyara escarpment, Tanzania. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
