Kicheche Laikipia Camp is inside the 90,000-acre Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Laikipia, roughly 30 minutes from the Nanyuki airstrip and at about 6,000 feet, with views toward Mount Kenya. The camp has five standard tents and a family suite, all facing a waterhole. Ol Pejeta is a fenced, managed conservancy that holds black and southern white rhino and the last two northern white rhinos, and runs a canine anti-poaching unit; the camp's activity list includes day and night game drives, guided bush walks, mountain biking, tracking with the K9 unit, and chargeable add-ons such as a northern white rhino encounter, a Mount Kenya day trip and a visit to Ngare Ndare Forest.
What sets it apart
It is the only Kicheche camp outside the Mara, and its setting in Ol Pejeta gives access to rhino-focused conservation activities and cycling that the operator's Mara camps cannot offer.
