Lewa Wilderness is a nine-room lodge on the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, overlooking the Eastern Marania Valley. Six cottages are set into the hillside and three more stand in the gardens. The conservancy runs to 65,000 acres and holds one of Kenya's strongest black and white rhino populations, alongside community and education programmes funded from tourism. The lodge's activity list is broader than most: game drives including an electric Land Cruiser, guided walks, horse riding, camel riding, fly-camping, and scenic flights in a vintage WACO open-cockpit biplane or a Cessna 206. The property is long established and family-run, and sits among the small group of lodges licensed to operate inside the conservancy.
