Nxai Pan Camp is the only permanent camp inside Nxai Pan National Park, on the western edge of the pan itself — a fossil lakebed of about 40 square kilometres north of the Maun–Nata road. Eight suites and a family suite face the plain, with a waterhole in front of camp. Because it is inside a national park, driving is restricted to park hours and off-road driving is not allowed; activities are game drives, walks with San guides, visits to Baines' Baobabs and helicopter safaris. The wet season brings zebra and springbok onto the pan with attendant predators. The airstrip is about fifteen minutes from camp. Operated by Kwando Safaris.

What sets it apart

Who it suits

About the photographs
The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Makgadikgadi and Nxai pans, Botswana. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
