Porini Mara Camp is a Gamewatchers Safaris camp in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, which the operator describes as the first private conservancy established in the Maasai Mara. Ol Kinyei borders Mara Naboisho, and the Naboisho conservancy's own site lists Porini Mara Camp among its member lodges, so the exact conservancy attribution is not settled between the two sources. The camp is unfenced, solar-powered and built without permanent structures. Activities are day and night game drives in open-sided 4x4 vehicles, walking safaris with Maasai guides, and sundowners. Conservancy rules permit off-road driving and dawn and dusk tracking without the time limits that apply inside the national reserve.

About the photographs

The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Greater Maasai Mara, Kenya. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
