Faru Faru is the contemporary lodge in Singita's Grumeti portfolio, built above the Grumeti River and a waterhole that draws game within sight of the rooms. The suites are glass-fronted with oversized windows onto the river; there are two swimming pools, a spa, a gym and extensive outdoor decks. Guests take two game drives a day within the private reserve, where off-road driving is allowed, plus guided walks, night drives, horse riding and balloon flights at extra cost. Community visits and trips to the reserve's anti-poaching post can be arranged. The lodge is smaller and lower-key than Sasakwa on the ridge above it.

What sets it apart
Its position directly above a river waterhole means game viewing continues from the rooms and pool deck between drives.
Who it suits
River and waterhole game viewing; contemporary design; private-reserve driving.

What it costs
No rate is published on the property's own site. Third-party reseller range only, not an official published rate: "One-bedroom suites range from USD 2,210–3,220 per person nightly" per https://www.serengeti.com/singita-faru-faru-lodge.php, as listed September 2026.
A reseller's range tells you the bracket, not the price you would pay. We show it because it is the only public figure that exists, and we label it rather than present it as the property's own.
About the photographs
The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Serengeti, Tanzania. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
