Chem Chem Lodge occupies an exclusive-use concession in the Burunge Wildlife Management Area, on the corridor of land between Lake Manyara and Tarangire national parks. The tented suites have en-suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, private verandas, air conditioning and mini fridges. The operator markets a deliberately unhurried approach, with private game drives on a dedicated vehicle and guide, silent walking safaris, runs with Maasai, bush dining and cultural visits; balloon flights over the Rift Valley and Lake Manyara park trips are also offered. The concession protects part of the Kwakuchinja corridor, an elephant migration route between the two parks. The lodge closes from early April to mid-May. Children from four are accepted.
