tented camp 8 tented suites with private plunge pools (the operator states eight; Rhino Africa describes seven guest suites plus one family suite, which is the same total)

DumaTau stands on the eastern edge of the Linyanti Marsh in a 125,000-hectare private concession on the Botswana–Namibia border, overlooking a hippo pool where the Savute Channel leaves the Linyanti. Eight elevated tented suites have private plunge pools, and the camp is solar-powered with sustainably sourced timber construction. Activities include dawn and dusk drives, guided walks, boating on the channel and river, a photographic hide, catch-and-release fishing, barge breakfasts and spa treatments. The concession holds very large dry-season elephant concentrations, with the operator citing more than 2,000 elephants, alongside lion, wild dog and leopard. Operated by Wilderness, with published rates and coordinates.

About the photographs

The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Linyanti and Selinda country, Botswana. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
