King's Pool overlooks an oxbow lagoon of the same name in the private Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, near where the Linyanti and Kwando river systems meet. Suites are built in thatch and canvas on raised decks, each with a separate lounge. Game viewing is by open 4x4, on foot with a guide, by boat on the lagoon and river, and from a sunken hide dug in at water level; the camp also runs sunset cruises on a barge and stargazing. The reserve is known for heavy dry-season elephant traffic along the waterfront, with lion, leopard, wild dog, buffalo and sable also recorded. Operated by Wilderness, with published rates.

What it costs

King's Pool Camp publishes its own rates. Published on the official site: "USD 1,332 to USD 3,286" per person per night for 2026–2027, per https://www.wildernessdestinations.com/africa/botswana/linyanti-region/kings-pool-camp, as listed September 2026.

Rates move by season and are almost always quoted per person per night sharing, so read the property's own page before you budget.

About the photographs

The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Linyanti and Selinda country, Botswana. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
