lodge `unverified` — the operator states 9 chalets (8 twin/double and 1 family); Go2Africa says 7 chalets. The two disagree on the total and no third source resolved it.

Etosha Mountain Lodge is the second Natural Selection property on the 60,000-hectare Etosha Heights reserve, set among hills on the park's south-western side. Chalets are en-suite with private viewing decks, and the lodge has a swimming pool, outdoor dining and a wine cellar. Unlike its sister lodge Safarihoek it takes children under 12. Activities are morning and afternoon game drives across the reserve, night drives, guided walking safaris, birding, waterhole viewing and rhino encounters — Etosha Heights carries both black and white rhino and funds anti-poaching work. Guests can also use the reserve's double-storey photographic hide. Because the reserve is private, walking and night driving are permitted, which they are not inside the national park.

What sets it apart

It is the child-friendly counterpart to Safarihoek on the same reserve, sharing its activities but not its age restriction.

Who it suits

Families on a private reserve; rhino; walking and night drives.

What it costs

Etosha Mountain Lodge publishes its own rates. Published on the official site: "NAD 7,325 — NAD 10,795 per night", per https://naturalselection.travel/camps/etosha-mountain-lodge-namibia/, as listed September 2026.

Rates move by season and are almost always quoted per person per night sharing, so read the property's own page before you budget.

About the photographs

The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Etosha country of northern Namibia. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
