Horizon is the smallest and most private of the four Ongava camps, three thatched villas set apart from the rest of the reserve's accommodation. Each villa has a sitting room with a fireplace, a private viewing deck and sundowner lounge, a private infinity pool and a separate thatched lookout point. The operator states the property was formerly called Little Ongava. Guests have the same activity set as the other Ongava camps: game drives on the private reserve and into Etosha, guided walks that can approach big game on foot, night drives, birding, the Discovery Centre and spa treatments. Black and white rhino are both present on the reserve, and waterholes are visible from the villas.

What sets it apart
Three villas with individual infinity pools and private lookouts make it the most secluded accommodation on the reserve.
Who it suits
Honeymoons; privacy; small family or friends group taking all three villas.

About the photographs
The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Etosha country of northern Namibia. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
