Little Mombo is a four-suite camp set immediately across from Mombo Camp on Chief's Island, sharing the same concession and guiding team but running its own kitchen, dining area, lounge and plunge pool. It takes eight guests and is often booked for exclusive use by families or groups. Activities match those at Mombo: dawn and dusk game drives, photographic hides, guided walks, and mokoro or boat outings when water levels permit, plus helicopter safaris on request. The area is open floodplain and island woodland with resident lion, leopard and wild dog. Operated by Wilderness, which publishes nightly rates on the camp page.

What sets it apart
A four-suite satellite with independent facilities that can be taken over entirely while still using the Mombo concession.
Who it suits

About the photographs
The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Okavango Delta, Botswana. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
