Little Vumbura is a small camp on a forested island in the northern Delta, reached by a short boat transfer and sharing the Vumbura concession with the larger Vumbura Plains. Six tents sit under mature trees around a central area with a pool. The island's permanent floodplains support mokoro and motorboat outings all year, while vehicles reach dry ground for twice-daily game drives, guided walks and night drives; fishing and helicopter flights can be added. Wild dog are regularly recorded here, along with lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and sable. Operated by Wilderness, which publishes nightly rates on the camp page.

What sets it apart
A six-tent island camp reached by boat, giving it a markedly more intimate feel than its large sister camp on the same concession.
Who it suits
Small-camp atmosphere; mokoro and boating; wild dog.
The essentials
| Country | Botswana |
| Where | Vumbura concession, northern Okavango Delta |
| Property type | tented camp (island camp) |
| Rooms | 6 tents — the operator's page text says "an airy, six-roomed tented camp" and Rhino Africa lists 6 en-suite tents (1 family, 5 standard); the operator's own structured data says 7, which is the only disagreement |

What it costs
Little Vumbura publishes its own rates. Published on the official site: "USD 1,569–3,116" per person per night for 2026–2027, per https://www.wildernessdestinations.com/africa/botswana/okavango-delta/little-vumbura, as listed September 2026.
Rates move by season and are almost always quoted per person per night sharing, so read the property's own page before you budget.
About the photographs
The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Okavango Delta, Botswana. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
