Pom Pom sits beside Pom Pom Lagoon at the head of the Xudum River, in its own concession (NG27A) west of Moremi Game Reserve. Eight tented suites and a family suite are built of canvas with outdoor showers, viewing decks and en-suite bathrooms. The concession allows night drives and off-road driving, and the camp also runs mokoro excursions during the May-to-September flood, boating, fishing, nature walks and helicopter flights. The airstrip is about five minutes away, roughly twenty minutes' flight from Maun. Leopard, African wild dog, lion and hippo are all reported from the area. Operated by Kwando Safaris.

What sets it apart
A lagoon-side concession west of Moremi that combines off-road and night driving with a genuine flood-season mokoro programme.
Who it suits
Leopard and wild dog; mokoro in flood season; short hop from Maun.

About the photographs
The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Okavango Delta, Botswana. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
