Mara Plains Camp is Great Plains Conservation's flagship Kenyan camp, in the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy on the northern boundary of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, in riverine forest on bends of the Ntiakitiak River. Seven canvas suites are raised on wooden decks. Guests game-drive both in the conservancy, where off-road driving and night drives are allowed, and in the national reserve, and can reach migration river crossings in season. Each suite is supplied with Canon camera bodies and lenses and Swarovski binoculars at no extra charge, and the camp runs beading sessions with Maasai women of the Maa Trust. Rates quoted by the operator include conservation fees and scheduled flights from Nairobi Wilson on a two-night minimum.
