tented camp 9 units — 8 double tented suites plus a family unit of two adjoining tents sleeping four, maximum 18 guests

Mombo occupies the north-eastern corner of Chief's Island inside Moremi Game Reserve, in a 35,000-hectare private concession reached by light aircraft. The camp was completely rebuilt in 2019 and has eight double tented suites plus a two-tent family unit, taking 18 guests, with open-sided common areas and a pool. Game viewing is land-based and year-round: day and night drives, guided walks, hide sessions, and seasonal mokoro and boating when water levels allow. Helicopter flights can be arranged. The concession is known for high densities of plains game and predators, including lion, leopard and cheetah. Operated by Wilderness, which publishes nightly rates on the camp page.

About the photographs

The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Okavango Delta, Botswana. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
