Camp Kala is the smallest camp on the Onguma reserve, four suites raised on wooden stilts above a waterhole. Each suite has air-conditioning, a private deck with a wood-fired hot tub and plunge pool, a double vanity, bath and a shower facing the waterhole, and a shaded sala with day beds. Shared areas include a lounge, cocktail bar, open-plan dining with a chef's kitchen, a ground-level photographic hide, a fire-pit deck, gym, spa room and yoga deck. Butler service is included. Guests do private game drives, guided bush walks and Etosha excursions through the Von Lindequist Gate. The camp can be booked whole or by the suite; minimum age is 12 unless taken exclusively.

What sets it apart
It is Onguma's four-suite, butler-serviced camp, small enough to be taken over entirely by one party.
Who it suits
Exclusive-use bookings; couples; photography from a ground-level hide.

About the photographs
The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Etosha country of northern Namibia. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
