tented camp 12 canvas rooms — nine twins, two family tents, one honeymoon tent

Sable Alley sits on the edge of a lagoon in the Khwai Private Reserve, a private concession on the northern edge of the Okavango Delta adjoining Moremi Game Reserve. There are twelve canvas-sided rooms on raised wooden platforms with private decks facing the water, two of them interleading family units taking children from six. The camp was rebuilt in 2017 and refurbished again more recently. Activities include day and night game drives, guided walks and, when water levels allow, mokoro and boat trips. The lagoon itself draws game to within view of the main area.

About the photographs

The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Khwai area of northern Botswana. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, and of the view they actually look out on, see the property's own site.
