Serengeti Bushtops is a permanent camp in the northern Serengeti, about 50 minutes by road from Kogatende airstrip. Each of its 15 tents has a private hot tub on the deck and a dedicated butler. The camp runs morning, evening and full-day game drives, walking safaris with qualified rangers, and balloon flights at extra cost, and it maintains a small fleet of specialist vehicles including a 6x6 open safari vehicle. Set-piece experiences include sundowners at a lion-viewing kopje and dinner served out at rocky outcrops. There is a swimming pool, a bar-lounge with fireplace and massage treatments. The camp closes from early April to the end of May.

What it costs

No rate is published on the property's own site. Third-party reseller range only, not an official published rate: "Peak season (June-October): USD $2,160; Low season: USD $1,090 per person nightly" per https://www.serengeti.com/serengeti-bushtops-camp.php, as listed September 2026. The operator's own page does not publish rates.

A reseller's range tells you the bracket, not the price you would pay. We show it because it is the only public figure that exists, and we label it rather than present it as the property's own.

About the photographs

The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Serengeti, Tanzania. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
