Serian 'The Original' is Alex Walker's camp in the Mara North Conservancy, with five tents of which one is a family unit. Its published position is S 01°10'37", E 35°04'28", and the preferred airstrip is Mara North. Every booking includes exclusive use of a 4WD vehicle with a dedicated guide and spotter, so guests are not sharing drives with other parties. Activities centre on game drives, with picnic breakfasts and lunches taken out for long days in the field. The camp operates year round. There is deliberately no Wi-Fi. Serian's sister camp, Ngare Serian, stands on the opposite bank of the Mara River.
