tented camp `unverified` — the operator says 5 tented suites for a maximum of 10 guests; namibweb says 8 beds. The two disagree on capacity.

Boulders Camp is the most remote of the Wolwedans camps, set among granite outcrops in the far south of the NamibRand Nature Reserve, roughly three hours' drive from the other Wolwedans properties. Tented suites open on three sides, each with a deck, a separate bathroom and a sala for the afternoon; some plunge pools are shared between neighbouring suites. Shared areas include a dining and lounge tent, a breakfast deck, a library, a swimming pool, an open fire and a rock plateau used for sundowners. Activities are morning and evening scenic drives, full-day safaris, a naked-eye star safari, e-biking and guided bushman walks, with horse riding and village visits by prior arrangement.

What sets it apart

Its position hours south of the other Wolwedans camps, among granite boulders rather than dunes, makes it the most isolated accommodation on the reserve.

Who it suits

Solitude; granite-and-desert scenery; small exclusive groups.

What it costs

Wolwedans Boulders Camp publishes its own rates. Published on the official site: "Starting at NAD 20,950 per person per night (excludes sustainability levy)", per https://www.wolwedans.com/boulders-camp-2/, as listed September 2026.

Rates move by season and are almost always quoted per person per night sharing, so read the property's own page before you budget.

About the photographs

The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Namib, Namibia. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
