This lodge sits in the western corridor of the Serengeti on a tributary of the Grumeti River, facing an oxbow lagoon with resident hippo. The ten river-facing suites each have a private plunge pool. The western corridor carries the migration herds during roughly May to July as they move towards the Grumeti River crossings, and the lodge is positioned near those crossing points. Activities include guided game drives, night drives, birdwatching, bush dining and balloon flights at extra cost; day trips towards Lake Victoria and canoe fishing for Nile perch have also been offered. The lodge closes for the month of April. It was previously named andBeyond Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp.

What sets it apart
It is one of very few lodges placed on the Grumeti River itself in the western corridor, and every suite has its own plunge pool.
Who it suits

No rate is published on the property's own site. Third-party reseller range only, not an official published rate: "2026: USD $1,310–$2,930 per person per night sharing" per https://www.serengeti.com/and-beyond-grumeti-serengeti-river-lodge.php, as listed September 2026.
A reseller's range tells you the bracket, not the price you would pay. We show it because it is the only public figure that exists, and we label it rather than present it as the property's own.
About the photographs
The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Serengeti, Tanzania. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
