Camp Xakanaxa sits on the Xakanaxa Lagoon where the Khwai River spreads into the eastern Moremi Game Reserve, one of the few camps inside the reserve itself rather than on a surrounding concession. Accommodation is in eleven twin tents and one two-bedroom family tent, all en-suite and raised on decks, with a maximum of 24 guests. Because the lagoon holds water year-round, the camp runs motorised boat safaris through the channels and lagoons alongside morning and afternoon game drives in the reserve. Birding is a significant draw on the water routes. The camp is operated by Desert & Delta Safaris, which runs a linked circuit of camps in Moremi, the Delta and Chobe.
