Hemingways River Camp is in the Mara North Conservancy on the Njageteck River, and is the second Mara property in the Hemingways Collection alongside Ol Seki in Naboisho. It has six luxury tents, one family suite and one private suite. The camp was established by the conservationist Richard Roberts with his wife Liz. Daily scheduled flights from Nairobi land about 40 minutes from camp. Activities include private game drives, guided nature walks, photographic safaris, balloon flights, sundowners and visits to Maasai villages within the conservancy. Mara North's rules allow night drives and off-road driving, which the national reserve to the south does not.

What sets it apart
It is the newer of Hemingways' two Mara camps and the only one in Mara North Conservancy, with private game drives offered as standard rather than as a supplement.
Who it suits
Private guiding; photography; riverside setting in a conservancy.

About the photographs
The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Greater Maasai Mara, Kenya. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
