Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp is a Wilderness camp in the lower Hoanib River valley in the Kunene Region, where the river runs out towards Skeleton Coast National Park. Access is by light aircraft only, to an airstrip within the concession. Tented suites are pitched in a side valley of the dry riverbed. The draw is desert-adapted wildlife — elephant, lion, giraffe, oryx and brown hyena — in a landscape of gravel plains and dunes almost without vegetation. Activities are nature drives, guided walks, birding, stargazing, presentations by the researchers who work on the area's desert lion and elephant, and, for stays of three nights or more, a full-day excursion to the coast and its Cape fur seal colonies.

The included full-day run out to the Skeleton Coast itself on longer stays is something no other inland camp in the region offers.
