Hoanib Valley Camp is a six-tent camp set back in a side valley of the Hoanib River in the Sesfontein Conservancy, upstream of the Wilderness camp of a similar name and near the Palmwag Concession. It is a joint venture with the Giraffe Conservation Foundation and the Sesfontein community; the operator states that most staff come from the local community and that 8% of turnover is paid to the community as rent. The camp is entirely solar powered. Activities are morning and evening game drives, black rhino tracking on longer stays, tracking and viewing desert-adapted giraffe as part of the Foundation's monitoring work, nature walks, stargazing and cultural visits to Himba, Herero and Damara families.
