Kicheche Mara Camp sits in the Mara North Conservancy, a 73,000-acre private conservancy on the northern edge of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, about a 30-minute drive from the Mara North airstrip. The tents overlook the Olare Orok stream. Nine are standard tents and one is a family suite of two en-suite bedrooms linked by a lounge. Because the camp is on conservancy rather than reserve land, guiding can include night drives and guided bush walks alongside conventional day game drives. Other activities the operator lists are wild camping, beading sessions with Maasai women from the conservancy's member communities, back-of-house tours, visits connected to the Mara Elephant Project, and balloon flights taken from a nearby launch site.
