Kicheche Valley Camp is built on a hillside in the Mara Naboisho Conservancy, a 50,000-acre conservancy east of the Maasai Mara National Reserve that functions as a wildlife corridor in the greater Mara ecosystem. The camp has five standard tents and one family suite, all set on elevated platforms. Guests take day and night game drives, guided bush walks, and overnight wild camping; the operator also offers beading lessons with Maasai women, back-of-house tours and balloon flights at sunrise. Naboisho's conservancy rules cap vehicle numbers, and walking and off-road driving are permitted, which is not the case inside the adjoining national reserve.

What sets it apart

At six tents it is among the smallest camps in Naboisho, and the Mara Naboisho Conservancy's own member list confirms it as one of only nine lodges sharing the 50,000 acres.

Who it suits

What it costs

Kicheche Valley Camp publishes its own rates. Published on the official site: "Rates starting from $785 per person sharing", per https://kicheche.com/kicheche-valley-naboisho/, as listed September 2026.

Rates move by season and are almost always quoted per person per night sharing, so read the property's own page before you budget.

About the photographs

The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Greater Maasai Mara, Kenya. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
