Lemala Ewanjan is pitched at the head of a blind valley in the Seronera area of the central Serengeti, about 25 minutes by vehicle from Seronera airstrip. The twelve tents have en-suite bathrooms and one is configured for families. The Seronera valley holds resident lion, leopard and cheetah year-round and is among the more reliably productive parts of the park outside migration months, though it is also among the busier ones for vehicles. Shared game drives are included in the rate, along with meals, local drinks, airstrip transfers and laundry; balloon flights cost extra. The camp runs a children's programme for under-12s.

What sets it apart

Its siting at the closed end of a side valley keeps it out of sight of the main Seronera circuit, which most central Serengeti camps cannot claim.

Who it suits

Year-round big-cat viewing; families; central Serengeti at moderate cost.

What it costs

No rate is published on the property's own site. Third-party reseller range only, not an official published rate: "Peak season: $792; Low season: $484–$502 per person per night sharing" per https://www.serengeti.com/lemala-ewanjan-tented-camp.php, as listed September 2026.

A reseller's range tells you the bracket, not the price you would pay. We show it because it is the only public figure that exists, and we label it rather than present it as the property's own.

About the photographs

The pictures on this page are stock photographs of African bush and desert country, chosen to suggest the kind of landscape you find around the Serengeti, Tanzania. They are not photographs of this property, and we cannot verify where any of them was taken — a stock library records the photographer, not the place. We use them rather than borrow the property's own marketing images, which would imply we had been there. For pictures of the rooms, see the property's own site.
